-Art Exercise 1
A strong ability to create what you see or a vision in your head is what a great permanent makeup artist possesses.
This ability is a natural talent for some and a learned skill for others.
This lesson not only helps train your hand and eyes separately but also is physically strengthening your hand. It’s not just about teaching an artistic skillset but preparing your hand for the 5k of permanent makeup applications. Getting a hand cramp or having stiff fingers can kill a workday.
This lesson should be practiced 1 to 2 hours weekly. Make sure to shake your hand out every 15 minutes, don’t hold your pencil too tight and never change the angle of your paper/workbook. Change only the angle and direction of your hand. Try moving from left to right and then right to left. Work from top to bottom then bottom to top. Mix it up and pay attention to directions or motions that feel uncomfortable. Those are the motions you need to focus on.
You will be using your machine or microblade in very awkward positions in order to reach areas on clients faces. This may feel unnatural to you and you can’t really move the client to accommodate your comfort. These exercises will help strengthen your hand and wrists so you can comfortably handle difficult areas.
Feel free to pause the video and rewatch as needed.
DO NOT GO TO NEXT LESSON UNTIL YOU HAVE UPLOADED YOUR CIRCLE AND LINE EXERCISE. Fill an entire page in your workbook with each exercise. You can use blank back pages for this assignment for your workbook exercise. Your workbook will be viewed on your first clinic day so please do your art exercises and they must be in the workbook.
